Thales and iGov Team to Deliver Comprehensive Security Solutions to U.S. Government

Weston, FL - December 12, 2005

Thales, an international electronics and systems group serving Defense, Aerospace, Security and Services markets, and iGov, a full-service IT consulting firm that provides manageable and cost-effective security, wireless, server, storage, and computer technology solutions, today announced an alliance to provide secure high-bandwidth outdoor wireless solutions to federal government clients. iGov will become a member of Thales' new Secure Wireless Alliance Program (SWAP).   The SWAP program is designed to provide the U.S. federal government with solutions to meet the new Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8100.2. The Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8100.2 mandate requires that all unclassified wireless transmission must be encrypted with Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 Level 2 certified hardware utilizing the AES encryption algorithm. As a team, Thales and iGov are now positioned to provide turnkey, mission ready solutions that are designed to help federal agencies comply with Government security requirements.   iGov’s iSolutions for wireless networks offer secure, enterprise class solutions to Government agencies. Its wireless iSolutions’ standards-based designs, which are extensively tested for inter-operability, effectively and efficiently manage wired and wireless networks to fit the needs and requirements of each agency's environment.

Thales’ Datacryptor® product line offers hardware-based FIPS 140-2 certified cryptography using the robust AES-256 algorithm for point-to-multipoint encryption over layer 3 IP networks and bulk point-to-point encryption applications over layer 2. Layer 2 encryption solutions provide point-to-point security with virtually no latency or overhead. The Datacryptor products provide a full range of solutions for layer 3 IP (10Mb, 100Mb and Gigabit) and layer 2 (56K-512K, Frame Relay, Gigabit, SONET OC-3, OC-12 and OC-48) network connectivity.

“The Thales Datacryptor® portfolio of encryption devices and iGov’s expertise in secure, comprehensive, mission-ready, wireless networks, complement the secure full service offering to Federal agencies and corporations,” said Brad Mack, iGov’s Vice President, Wireless.

“iGov, has demonstrated success providing comprehensive secure wireless solutions to Federal agencies. Their current relationships with the leading wireless vendors coupled with our Datacryptor security solutions solidify our joint position for upcoming DoD programs.” said Alok Sharma, Vice President of Sales and Marketing e-Security activities of Thales in the Americas.
